Rescue Diver

Many divers say this is the best course they have ever taken. If you plan on diving frequently, we urge you to take this course. This challenging and rewarding course will expand your knowledge and experience level. Rescue Divers learn to look beyond themselves and consider the safety and well being of other divers. Rescue Diver training will prepare you to prevent problems and, if necessary, manage dive emergencies. You'll cover: self-rescue and diver stress, emergency management and equipment, panicked diver response, in-water rescue breathing protocols, rescue exit techniques, and dive accident scenarios.

Prerequisites:

• Minimum certifications:
  • Open Water Diver (Advanced Open Water Diver is required prior to certification)
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification (can be done concurrently with the class)
• Minimum age: 12

Number of dives: 5 rescue training sessions and 4 open water rescue scenarios over 1 - 2 weeks
